Major Montreal Roads Shut Down This Weekend: Plan Your Detours Now!

Mobility Montréal advises road users that major obstructions are expected over the weekend.

Night closures as of Aug. 1

Night closures of Highway 25 toward the South Shore will be in place as of Friday. These obstructions are required for the construction of a guardrail under the Souligny interchange.

Closure of the ramp leading from Highway 10 westbound to Highway 15 South/Route 132 West in Brossard from Aug. 3 to Aug. 9

Complete closure of a ramp on the Highway 10/15/20 interchange (on the approach to the Samuel De Champlain Bridge) is required to allow the City of Brossard to repair a water main. The closure of the ramp leading from Highway 10 westbound to Highway 15 South/Highway 132 West will be required from Aug. 3 to 9.

The Department anticipates significant episodes of congestion.

Obstructions and traffic management

From Sunday, Aug. 3 at 11:59 p.m. to Saturday, Aug. 9 at 6 a.m.

Detour:

The work, carried out by the City of Brossard, could be postponed, extended or cancelled due to adverse weather conditions or operational constraints.

Autoroute 10, Route 132 and the Champlain Bridge

Sunday 11:59 p.m. to Saturday 6 a.m.

Detour: via ramp to Hwy. 132 East and U-turn at Exit 76 (Simard Boulevard)Optional / preferred: upstream, via Exit 11 (A-30 West, Matte Boulevard) or Exit 8 (Taschereau Boulevard, R-134)

Route 132 / Varennes

Detour eastbound via Frontenac Street or René-Gaultier Boulevard and westbound via Jacques-Lussier Street or René-Gaultier Avenue

Highway 40 / Terrebonne (Lachenaie) and Charlemagne

Between Charles-De Gaulle bridge and A-640, redevelopment of structures, Ruisseau de Feu – end of September. Traffic on detoured lanes at all times and 5 lanes available out of 6, depending on peak time.

In the event of adverse weather conditions or operational constraints, work may be cancelled or modified.
