Niagara Falls Murder Suspect Arrested in Montreal
Niagara Regional Police have confirmed the arrest of a suspect in connection with the murder of 35-year-old Mitchell Snoddon in Niagara Falls.
Josta MacNeal, aged 30, was apprehended by Montreal authorities and is set to be brought back to Niagara to face charges of second-degree murder related to Snoddon’s tragic shooting death.
The incident took place on July 16 at a residence on Thorold Stone Road near Dorchester Road, where Snoddon was discovered with a gunshot wound at around 8:50 p.m. Despite efforts, he succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.
While MacNeal has been apprehended, the second suspect, Maroof Bangi, aged 23, remains at large, prompting the police to issue a warning to the public. As no firearm has been recovered in connection with the crime, Bangi is deemed armed and dangerous.
Authorities urge anyone who spots Bangi to refrain from approaching and instead contact 911 immediately for assistance.
