Major Fire in Deserted Building Halts Traffic on DVP and Gardiner Expressways

A massive fire erupted in an abandoned building located near the bustling interchange of the Don Valley Parkway and Dundas Street, causing significant disruptions to traffic flow in the area.

The emergency response team from Toronto swiftly arrived at the corner of Matilda and Munro streets shortly after 9:30 p.m. to combat the intense three-alarm inferno.

Witnesses reported towering flames bursting out from the roof and windows of the structure, yet there is currently no information regarding any potential injuries.

As a result of the blaze, various road closures have been implemented in the vicinity, including the closure of the northbound Don Valley Parkway at Lakeshore Boulevard and the eastbound lanes of the Gardiner Expressway at Jarvis Street.

To ensure public safety, both Munro Street and Davies Street have also been shut down until further notice.
