“The victims reportedly felt a strong sting in the back while they were in the crowd,” SPVM stated in a press release.  “Some of the victims, both women and men, subsequently felt dizzy.”

SPVM says it’s too early to determine whether or not the alleged events are related, but officers are reminding people of the importance of staying vigilant in large gatherings.

“At this stage, it is premature to provide additional details about the ongoing investigation,” SPVM stated. “ÎleSoniq and Evenko security personnel are working closely with the SPVM to advance the investigation.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact 911, visit their neighbourhood police station or make an anonymous and confidential report to Info-Crime Montréal at 514 393-1133 or via the website.

Rewards of up to $3,000 may be awarded by Info-Crime Montréal for information leading to the arrest of a suspect.
