Vancouver Police Department has shared additional information regarding a tragic accident that took place in the Kerrisdale area of Vancouver on a Tuesday morning.
According to VPD, a 75-year-old woman was driving her vehicle south when it was hit by a delivery truck traveling west on West 57th avenue at approximately 9:40 a.m. on Tuesday. Tragically, the woman passed away at the scene of the collision.
Sgt. Steve Addison, the VPD media relations officer, mentioned, “The delivery truck driver stayed at the scene, and several witnesses have stepped forward to provide details.”
Photos taken at the location display a commercial truck colliding with a Mercedes-Benz sedan.
The VPD’s Collision Investigation Unit is currently looking into the incident. Authorities have stated that no Criminal Code or Motor Vehicle Act charges are expected to be filed.
