“Blue Jays Fans Shatter Hot Dog Record During 2025’s Epic Loonie Dog Season!”

Toronto Blue Jays fans have broken a mouthwatering record for hot dog consumption during the 2025 Loonie Dog season at Rogers Centre, making it a truly delicious milestone. Sportsnet reports that the total number of Schneiders Loonie Dogs devoured this season has hit a historic high, surpassing previous records from 2023 and 2024. As of the upcoming series opener against the Boston Red Sox, Blue Jays fans have wolfed down a whopping 733,412 hot dogs, exceeding last year’s tally of 727,819.

The $1 hot dog promotion at select home games has become a hit among fans, drawing large crowds and igniting a fun competition to see who can chow down on the most wieners in a night. This summer witnessed numerous jaw-dropping evenings of hot dog consumption. In a game against the New York Yankees in July, fans scarfed down over 84,000 hot dogs, setting a new single-game record. But that record was quickly broken in late August when supporters gobbled up more than 96,000 hot dogs during another packed home game.

On a sports note, the Blue Jays have secured a playoff spot after defeating the Kansas City Royals 8-5 on Sunday. The team currently holds a two-game lead over the Yankees in the American League East Division and has the tiebreaker advantage. The last time the Blue Jays clinched the AL East title was in 2015, a memorable postseason achievement for the club.

Tonight, Kevin Gausman takes the mound for Toronto against Lucas Giolito of the Red Sox in what promises to be an exciting showdown. The game is set to start at 7:07 p.m. ET and will be broadcast live on Sportsnet.
