Authorities in White Rock seek suspect after reported assault incident on Friday morning. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) are investigating an alleged sexual assault that took place around 10 a.m. near Everall Street and Prospect Avenue.
According to police, the victim reported being attacked by a man who punched and groped them before fleeing the scene towards the south through a nearby park. The victim suffered minor physical injuries in the assault.
White Rock RCMP stated in a press release that initial findings suggest the assault was unprovoked. The suspect is described as a 30 to 40-year-old man, around 6 feet tall, wearing a grey hoodie, khaki pants, and white shoes.
Staff Sgt. Rob Dixon emphasized the seriousness of the incident, urging the community to remain vigilant as investigators work to apprehend the suspect. Witnesses or individuals with relevant footage are urged to reach out to the White Rock RCMP at 778-545-4800 for assistance.
