Quick Response Saves Lives in Sports Bar Fire Incident
In the early hours of Sunday morning, a potentially tragic situation was averted as emergency responders rescued two individuals from a blazing sports bar. The incident unfolded around 3:25 a.m. when authorities were alerted to a fire at a commercial property located near the Danforth Avenue, close to the Pape subway station.
Upon reaching the scene, firefighters encountered a fierce fire engulfing the sports bar. Their swift action led to the successful rescue of two people who had sought refuge on the rooftop in a bid to evade the flames. Thanks to a well-executed operation involving a ladder, both individuals were safely brought down to the ground.
Paramedics promptly assessed the rescued individuals at the scene, fortunately finding no serious injuries that required hospitalization.
