Families and supporters gathered at Danyluk Park in Montreal’s charming town of Mount Royal over the weekend for a heartwarming event filled with joy and generosity. The annual Stroll & Dash fundraiser brought together a community eager to make a difference while enjoying the sunny weather.
This year’s event was spearheaded by the lively CityNews personality, Pamela Pagano, adding an extra touch of excitement to the occasion. Stroll & Dash serves as the primary fundraiser for Sarah’s Fund for Cedars, a cause close to many hearts.
Attendees of all ages took part in leisurely strolls and energetic races, not just for the physical activity but to contribute to the fundraising efforts and raise awareness. The event also served as a platform to honor the brave young patients, fondly referred to as superheroes, receiving treatment on Sarah’s floor at the Montreal Children’s Hospital.
Since its inception, Stroll & Dash has amassed a remarkable total of nearly $5 million, a testament to the community’s unwavering support for the cause. The funds generated go a long way in providing essential programs and services under Sarah’s Fund for Cedars, including initiatives like Dr. Clown, pet therapy, music therapy, and art therapy. These resources play a crucial role in helping both young patients and their families navigate the challenges that often accompany a cancer diagnosis and treatment.
