Montreal Election Shocker: Soraya Martinez Ferrada Leads Candidates but Undecided Voters Could Swing Outcome!

Soraya Martinez Ferrada is leading the race to become Montreal’s next mayor, with a significant nine-point advantage over her closest competitor, as revealed by a recent poll.

Ferrada, who heads Ensemble Montréal, has secured 21% of the potential vote if an election took place today. In contrast, Projet Montréal’s leader, Luc Rabouin, would receive 12% of the vote.

The Léger poll commissioned by CTV News Montreal also indicates that Craig Sauvé, the leader of Transition Montréal, would come in third place with 8%. Following closely behind are Action Montréal’s Gilbert Thibodeau with 7% and Jean-François Kacou of Futur Montréal with 2%.

Interestingly, the survey highlights a high level of indecision among Montreal residents, with 42% of respondents either unsure of their choice or declining to disclose their preference for the upcoming November 2 election.

The poll, conducted online with 500 Montrealers between September 26 and 30, carries a margin of error of no more than plus or minus 4.4% for a sample of this size.
