“STM Bus Crash on Route 136 in Montreal Leaves Two Hospitalized”

During the early hours of Saturday morning, a car traveling in the opposite direction crashed into an STM bus, resulting in injuries to both drivers.

The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) swiftly responded to a 911 call at approximately 2:30 a.m. after the collision occurred on Route 136 East, close to Westmount.

SQ spokesperson Elizabeth Marquis-Guy stated, “Preliminary information suggests that the car was driving in the wrong direction when it collided with the bus. The bus driver sustained minor injuries and was transported to the hospital.”

Fortunately, there were no passengers on the bus during the incident.

The male driver of the car, aged in his 50s, sustained serious injuries and was hospitalized. However, his condition is now stable, and his life is not at risk.

Route 136 had to be shut down for several hours as SQ investigators examined the crash site.

The investigation into the collision is still ongoing.
