Habs fans ready for iconic Montreal playoff atmosphere in Game 3

After two close games on the road that both went to overtime, the series between the Montreal Canadiens and Tampa Bay Lightning is tied 1-1 as it moves to Montreal.

The Canadiens are back at the Bell Centre for Game 3 on Friday at 7 p.m.

The Canadiens were unable to close out Game 2 in Tampa, falling 3-2 in overtime when J.J. Moser scored at 12:48 of the extra frame with a wrist shot over Jakub Dobeš’ glove.

It was the second straight overtime game between the two teams, showing how tight the series has been so far.

Montreal did get strong performances once again, including Lane Hutson’s first career playoff goal and Josh Anderson’s second goal of the series, keeping the Canadiens within reach throughout a back-and-forth battle.

Now the scene shifts to Montreal, where the Bell Centre crowd is expected to play a major role.

After two road games that tested their resilience, the Canadiens return to a building known for its intensity, noise, and momentum swings. Fans are already gearing up for a playoff atmosphere that could tilt the series.

With the series level and both teams showing little separation on the ice, Game 3 offers Montreal a chance to seize control — and do it in front of a home crowd ready to erupt.

In addition to the action inside the Bell Centre, fans will have access to official pregame events on home playoff nights.

The official Habs Watch Party – Street Edition takes place on Avenue des Canadiens, just outside the Bell Centre. It opens at 5 p.m. for every home game and is reserved for those lucky enough to have secured free tickets, which are now sold out.

A Fan Jam will also run at Canadiens Plaza, offering the biggest pregame outdoor party with tattoos, barbers, food, and drinks. It opens at 5 p.m. for every home game, with free general admission on a first-come, first-served basis and limited capacity. The site closes at the start of the game.
