Residents in the Canyon Alpine and North Bend areas in the Fraser Canyon have been ordered to evacuate their homes due to the Brunswick Creek wildfire.
Emergency Info BC upgraded an evacuation alert to an order around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The order is in effect for all homes in Canyon Alpine and North Bend Electoral Area A. A list of affected residents is included on Emergency Info BC’s website.
An evacuation alert is also in effect for Boston Bar.
Highway 1 is closed in both directions between Boston Bar Station Road and Ainslie Road North due to the blaze, DriveBC says.
