An American tourist who was hit by a cyclist while crossing West Cordova Street at Richards Street has died in hospital, say the Vancouver Police Department (VPD).
The 72-year-old man and his wife were hit by a cyclist travelling eastbound on Cordova Street on June 29 at about 5:30 p.m., according to police.
The man lost consciousness at the scene while his wife suffered minor injuries.
She has since recovered.
The man was transported to hospital where he died on July 5, the VPD reports.
The cyclist was not hurt.
The VPD say the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
