Over 130 Firefighters to Compete in Thrilling Rescue Challenges at Angrignon Park
Get ready for an action-packed weekend as more than 130 firefighters from both Canada and the United States gear up to showcase their skills in intense rescue competitions at Angrignon Park.
The 5th Canadian Firefit championship will put these brave first responders to the test, challenging their strength and abilities through simulations of various emergency scenarios.
Organized by the Montreal Firefighters Association (APM), representing a dedicated force of over 2,400 firefighters, this public event promises an exciting display of heroism and community spirit.
Chris Ross, president of APM, highlighted the event’s significance by stating, “Our firefighters demonstrate every day what it takes to protect Montrealers. For two days, Angrignon Park will serve as a showcase for this reality and the bond that unites us with the community we serve every day.”
In addition to the thrilling competitions, attendees can witness a live vehicle extrication demonstration and explore an exhibition of antique fire trucks.
For those looking to join in on the excitement, the event offers running competitions of 1 km, 5 km, and 10 km, allowing participants to run alongside the courageous firefighters.
Families can enjoy a range of free, fun activities including a BBQ, inflatable games, face painting for kids, and giant games, ensuring a memorable experience for all ages.
