Pedestrian Clings to Life After Horrific Bus Collision in Surrey, Police Report

Surrey Police Investigate Collision Between Bus and Pedestrian Resulting in Life-Threatening Injuries

Surrey Police Service (SPS) is currently probing an overnight incident involving a collision between a TransLink bus and a pedestrian in Surrey. The pedestrian, a man, sustained severe injuries in the accident, as confirmed by the authorities.

The distressing event occurred on Saturday night at the intersection of 128 Street and 96 Avenue around 9:40 p.m. BC Emergency Health Services (BCEHS) reached out to SPS after discovering the injured pedestrian at the scene. Despite receiving initial care from BCEHS, the man was subsequently rushed to the hospital for critical medical attention.

The Collision Investigation Unit of SPS has taken charge of the ongoing investigation, which is still in its early stages. Following the incident, the intersection was temporarily closed for investigation purposes but has since reopened as of Sunday morning.
