Authorities in Durham Region are currently looking into a tragic incident where a 64-year-old woman lost her life in a collision involving a dump truck in Ajax.
According to reports, the incident occurred shortly before 4 p.m. on Saturday as the dump truck was executing a right turn from Harwood Avenue South onto Hunt Street, leading to the fatal collision with the woman.
Despite immediate life-saving efforts by responders, the woman was tragically declared deceased at the scene of the accident.
The driver of the dump truck cooperated with authorities and remained at the scene to assist with the investigation.
