Air Canada Unveils New Downtown Montreal Shuttle Service: Travel to the Airport in Style and Comfort

Air Canada Introduces New Shuttle Service Between Downtown Montreal and Airport

Air Canada has rolled out a convenient shuttle service connecting downtown Montreal to Trudeau International Airport, offering passengers a quicker and hassle-free transportation option, the airline announced on Monday.

The newly launched shuttle aims to help travelers save valuable time, with estimates suggesting up to a 25-minute reduction in peak traffic delays. Additionally, the service provides exclusive access to a private airport entrance, further enhancing the travel experience for Air Canada customers.

Ranbir Singh, Air Canada’s director of regional airlines and markets, highlighted the benefits of the shuttle, stating, “Our customers can now avoid traffic congestion and skip taxi queues. By offering frequent downtown service and efficient access to YUL, we are enhancing connectivity to Air Canada’s global network.”

The shuttle initiative comes as a timely solution amid the bustling summer travel season. Recent challenges faced by passengers, such as airport construction causing delays and disruptions in rideshare services like Uber and Lyft, have underscored the need for reliable transportation options.

Jerome Conraud, vice-president of strategy, planning, and sustainability at ADM, emphasized the importance of the shuttle service in providing a seamless travel experience for passengers until the completion of future airport improvements.

Travelers can avail of the shuttle service at a cost of $9 each way (before taxes), with the option to pre-purchase tickets for added convenience. The shuttle will operate between downtown Montreal’s Palais des congrès and Door 7 on the Departures level at the airport, running every 15 minutes during peak hours and every half hour thereafter.

In case of any shuttle delays, Air Canada assures passengers with a minimum connecting time of 95 minutes complimentary flight rebooking options, subject to availability. For passengers requiring special assistance, such as wheelchair accommodations, advance arrangements can be made with The Landline Company, the shuttle operator.
