Toronto police seek assistance in locating a missing 15-year-old girl who disappeared recently.
Ruqayyah, a young girl of five foot four inches with a slender frame and shoulder-length black hair, was last seen in the Markham Road and Sheppard Avenue East vicinity on Saturday night around 11:30 p.m. She was dressed in a grey hooded sweater, grey jeans, and black “Converse” shoes with white tips.
Both the authorities and her family are worried about her well-being, urging anyone with relevant details to reach out to the police.
Expressing his concern, Ruqayyah’s father spoke at a press briefing, pleading for her safe return. “We want Ruqayyah to know we love her and miss her deeply. We want her back home. We want her safe,” he said emotionally. “Your mother and I can’t wait to have you back home … Please come home.”
Her father mentioned that they believe Ruqayyah was alone when she went missing and disclosed her struggles with mental health issues.
