A woman wanted in connection with a 2024 murder case in Richmond Hill has been apprehended in Alberta after a lengthy search. York Regional Police confirmed that Katherine Bergeron-Pinzarrone, 27, from Mississauga, was arrested on July 9, 2026, by the Calgary Police Service for the second-degree murder of a 16-year-old boy from Montreal.
The tragic incident occurred on Aug. 8, 2024, when police responded to a stabbing at a local hospital where the teen victim from Montreal had succumbed to his injuries. Two male suspects, Lensly Francois and William Gallant, were initially linked to the murder and an auto theft ring.
York Regional Police, in collaboration with the BOLO Program and Calgary Police, diligently worked to locate Bergeron-Pinzarrone. The successful arrest was praised as a significant step towards bringing justice to the victim’s family.
