Guns, drugs, and counterfeit cash seized in West Kelowna RCMP raid

West Kelowna RCMP say a search of a Shannon Place residence led to the seizure of guns, drugs, and more than $20,000 in counterfeit Canadian currency.

According to police, investigators also discovered counterfeit security holograms and materials believed to be used in the production of fake money.

Officers seized guns, ammunition, cocaine, MDMA, and ketamine during the operation. One man was arrested at the home and taken to police cells.

The investigation remains ongoing, and no charges have been announced.

“This seizure removed a significant quantity of counterfeit currency, illicit drugs, and firearms from our community,” Cpl. Shaun Achtymichuk of the West Kelowna RCMP Drug Section said in a statement.

“Counterfeit currency undermines confidence in our financial system and can have serious impacts on local businesses and residents. This investigation highlights our commitment to disrupting organized criminal activity and enhancing public safety.”
