Three individuals were hurt in a recent car accident that took place on Highway 50 in Brampton. The incident occurred near the junction of Coleraine Drive and Major Mackenzie Drive West shortly after midnight on Thursday, prompting a response from Peel police and paramedics.
According to authorities, one of the vehicles involved in the crash overturned, resulting in injuries to the three occupants. Emergency responders swiftly transported the injured individuals to a nearby trauma center for treatment.
Among the injured is a 60-year-old woman who sustained severe injuries that are expected to have a lasting impact. The other two individuals suffered injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
Fortunately, there were no reported injuries from the second vehicle involved in the collision, with the driver remaining at the scene to cooperate with authorities.
As investigations into the crash continue, Coleraine Drive has been temporarily closed off between Hwy. 50 and Countryside Drive for the necessary examination.
