A man from Quebec has been charged by police for allegedly making a bomb threat at an airport in western Labrador.
According to the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary, officers responded to a call at Wabush Airport around 8 p.m. on Sunday. Upon arrival, they found that the man had already been removed from an aircraft.
Subsequently, the airport was evacuated and thoroughly searched. Fortunately, police determined that the bomb threat was not credible.
The 30-year-old suspect is facing charges of public mischief, uttering threats, causing a disturbance, and breach of probation.
