York Regional Police have apprehended a practitioner on charges of sexual assault after an alleged incident during an acupuncture session in Richmond Hill.
According to reports, the incident took place on August 30 near Major Mackenzie Drive East and Bayview Avenue, where the victim was reportedly sexually assaulted during the appointment.
On August 31, Jianji Li, 61, a resident of Richmond Hill, was taken into custody by the police and charged with sexual assault.
In a bid to uncover any potential additional victims, YRP has made public Li’s photo.
It is important to note that these accusations are yet to be substantiated in a court of law.
