Air Canada Expands Horizons: Launches Three Exciting New Routes to Europe Next Summer!

Air Canada announces exciting new destinations for non-stop flights in the upcoming summer season. The airline will be adding Oslo, Norway; Shannon, Ireland; and Nice, France to its route map, in addition to expanding services to popular destinations.

Starting Summer 2027, Air Canada will operate direct flights to Oslo, Norway, offering the only North American connection to this Scandinavian gem. The service will run four days a week from June 2 to October 10, 2027. Similarly, the airline will introduce three non-stop flights per week to Shannon, Ireland, the sole direct link from Canada, operating from June 10 to October 2, 2027.

For travelers from Toronto, exciting new routes await. Flights to Nice, France, will be available on Wednesdays and Saturdays from June 16 to October 23, 2027. Additionally, Air Canada will reintroduce its popular day route to London-Heathrow, with expanded Toronto to Guatemala City flights now operating year-round. The Toronto to Shanghai route will also see an increase in frequency to daily flights.

Deborah Flint, President and CEO of Toronto Pearson, highlighted the importance of these new services in enhancing connections to global markets. Mark Galardo, Executive Vice President & Chief Commercial Officer, and President, Cargo, emphasized Air Canada’s commitment to linking customers, the country, and the Americas with the world.

As the airline anticipates the arrival of its first Toronto-based Boeing 787-10 aircraft later this year, further network expansions are on the horizon.
