Get ready for a smoother ride – but plan ahead for some road closures! The upcoming long weekend from Sept. 4 to 8 will see temporary closures on Highway 25, including the Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine tunnel, for much-needed repairs and maintenance.
Both directions of Highway 25, toward Montreal and the South Shore, will be affected, with night closures also in place. Repairs to pavement slabs and fire protection signs at the tunnel entrance are the focus of these closures, following previous incidents and issues over the past year. Additional maintenance work is also scheduled during this time.
On the night of Sept. 1, Souligny Avenue’s westbound lane, between Honoré-Beaugrand Street and Highway 25 southbound Exit No. 4, will be closed for the final touches on a concrete island and drainage system maintenance. During this time, access to Highway 25 northbound will also be restricted to facilitate landscaping work.
