The Prince George RCMP is currently looking into an incident involving gunfire that occurred in the peaceful College Heights neighborhood in the early hours of the morning.
Reports indicate that witnesses heard several gunshots ring out at approximately 5:30 a.m. on Friday near St. Barbara Place and St. Anne Avenue. Additionally, eyewitnesses observed a white SUV speeding away from the scene shortly after the shots were fired.
Cpl. Jennifer Cooper stated, “We have confirmed the presence of gunfire in the vicinity, and our team is diligently investigating to uncover the complete details surrounding this event.”
While it remains unclear if the gunshots and the fleeing vehicle are connected, authorities are actively exploring all leads.
Local residents are urged to check their surveillance cameras and dash-cam footage for any unusual activity during the time of the incident.
