71-Year-Old Toronto Church Worker Faces Multiple Charges in Youth Sexual Assault Case: Police Report

Toronto authorities apprehend 71-year-old man on multiple sexual offence charges after an extensive probe into allegations dating back several years, including reported incidents during the victim’s youth.

Police responded to a sexual assault report on Oct. 7 at around 7:51 p.m. near Bloor Street West and The East Mall in Etobicoke.

The suspect purportedly took the victim to his home where the assault occurred. The victim managed to escape and notify the authorities.

Investigation suggests that from 2021 to 2026, the accused committed multiple sexual assaults against the victim during their youth. Reports indicate that the accused met the victim while serving at a church around Bloor Street West and Kipling Avenue in Etobicoke.

Toronto resident Paul Conn, 71, faces five charges of sexual assault, three charges of sexual interference with a person under 16, and four charges of sexual exploitation of a young person.

Conn was set to make a court appearance on Tuesday.

Authorities suspect there could be more victims and have shared a photo of the accused to aid ongoing inquiries.
