Another individual has been taken into custody and accused in connection with a violent road-rage clash in Mississauga that resulted in two men being seriously wounded in a stabbing earlier this summer.
The incident unfolded at the intersection of Dundas Street West and Parkerhill Road close to Confederation Parkway around 5 p.m. on Aug. 29, prompting Peel Regional Police (PRP) to respond to the scene following reports of a stabbing that emerged from a dispute between occupants of two vehicles.
Initial investigations by authorities revealed that what initially seemed like a road-rage altercation in a parking lot quickly turned into a violent confrontation, resulting in two individuals being stabbed.
Both victims sustained severe injuries and were rushed to the hospital. Fortunately, police confirmed that their injuries were not life-threatening and that their conditions eventually improved.
Following the occurrence on Aug. 29, law enforcement officers apprehended one of the suspects, 30-year-old Ali Halimi from Mississauga, who was charged with a single count of assault.
In a recent development, Peel police disclosed that Isaiah Myles, a 26-year-old resident of Mississauga, was taken into custody on Oct. 1 and is facing two charges of attempted murder.
Authorities have identified Myles as the remaining suspect at large in the case. He is currently in custody awaiting a bail hearing as the investigation into the incident continues.
