Over 35,000 Hydro Quebec customers in Montreal were plunged into darkness on Monday due to a series of power outages.
By midday, approximately 25,689 clients in Montreal were impacted by 23 separate interruptions, as reported by Hydro-Quebec.
Specifically, the Point-aux-Trembles area east of Highway 25 in Montreal experienced 13 outages, while Outaouais faced 22 disruptions leading to over 2,600 customers without power.
The root cause of these outages, according to Hydro Quebec, was traced back to an issue at the Montreal East substation.
