“Bo Bichette Promises Peak Performance for World Series: ‘I’ll Be Ready’”

The Toronto Blue Jays, who recently clinched the American League championship, may be welcoming back star shortstop Bo Bichette for the World Series.

Following the Blue Jays’ thrilling Game 7 victory against the Seattle Mariners, Bichette expressed confidence in his readiness for Game 1 of the World Series at Rogers Centre, stating, “I’ll be ready.”

Blue Jays manager John Schneider provided an update on Bichette’s progress, mentioning that the shortstop has been making significant strides in his recovery from a knee injury. Bichette has been seen engaging in light running and working on his hitting skills behind the scenes.

Schneider shared, “Progress is just where he feels with his swing and how much more comfortable he feels… Hopefully, we can advance his base running and defense in the next few days.” While Bichette has been gradually increasing his activities, he has yet to fully return to playing shortstop or running the bases at full capacity.

Bichette was sidelined during the ALCS due to a knee sprain sustained in early September. Despite the setback, the 27-year-old had an impressive season, boasting a .311 batting average, 18 home runs, and 94 RBIs. He led MLB in hits with 181 at the time of his injury, showcasing his importance to the Blue Jays lineup.
