Tragedy struck in Brampton on Tuesday afternoon as a fatal shooting claimed the life of a woman.
Authorities in Peel were alerted to the incident at the intersection of Airport Road and Queen Street East shortly before 2 p.m. following reports of gunfire.
Upon arrival, police discovered a woman who had been shot and unfortunately succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
