Soraya Martinez Ferrada, leader of Ensemble Montréal, has publicly disclosed her 2024 income tax return in response to a request from Projet Montréal leader Luc Rabouin.
Having previously served as a Member of the House of Commons and a federal government minister, Martinez Ferrada’s salary was determined according to various governmental acts, including the Parliament of Canada Act and the Salaries Act. Despite her public service and resigning in February, Martinez Ferrada does not receive a salary as the leader of Ensemble Montréal.
Expressing her deep connection to Montreal, Martinez Ferrada emphasized her motivation for running for mayor, citing her long-standing ties to the city since childhood. She stressed the need for strong leadership to restore Montreal to its former glory.
