The mysterious discovery of a deceased man inside a parked car just outside a Toronto hospital’s emergency room has left his family searching for answers. Thomas Choy, 41, was found in the back seat of a vehicle parked near the entrance of Humber River Hospital’s ER, unnoticed for three days.
Lang Choy, Thomas’s sister, revealed that security footage captured the vehicle arriving at the hospital on December 7, with the driver seen entering the hospital but Thomas never seen leaving the car. The identity of the driver remains unknown, adding to the perplexity surrounding the situation.
Despite the car belonging to their other brother, Lang Choy emphasized that he was not the driver that day. She questioned how the parked vehicle went unnoticed for days in such a visible spot without anyone taking notice or issuing a ticket.
Expressing disbelief, Lang Choy raised concerns about the lack of attention given to the parked car, wondering what could have happened if her brother was still alive when he arrived at the hospital. The family is anxiously awaiting autopsy results to determine the timeline of Thomas’s death.
The Coroner’s office and Toronto police are investigating the incident, with the latter confirming the discovery of a deceased person in a vehicle and assuring further details pending the ongoing investigation.
