Simple Plan Rocks the Holidays: Hometown Montreal Benefit Concert Set to Dazzle!

Simple Plan returned to Montreal for the holidays, hosting their annual charity concert at the Beanfield Theatre. The band, known for their philanthropic efforts, celebrated the 20th anniversary of the Simple Plan Foundation, which has supported Canadian youth in need for two decades.

At the concert, fans were treated to a special performance of the band’s 2004 album, “Still Not Getting Any…,” played in its entirety for only the second time in the band’s history. Guitarist Sébastien Lefebvre described the event as a unique experience that the band wanted to share with their loyal supporters.

The Simple Plan Foundation, established in 2005, focuses on helping young people facing challenges such as mental health issues, addiction, and poverty. Over the years, the foundation has donated over $3 million to various charitable organizations, a milestone that Lefebvre highlighted as a testament to the impact of their work.

Drummer Chuck Comeau emphasized the importance of music in changing and saving lives, noting the foundation’s support for music education programs and music therapy in hospitals. He shared how meeting individuals directly impacted by their foundation’s work motivates the band to continue their efforts.

The benefit concert, featuring special guests Les Trois Accords, exuded a festive and intimate vibe, with the band embracing the holiday spirit and interacting closely with the Montreal crowd. Proceeds from the event went towards the Simple Plan Foundation, furthering their mission of giving back to the community.

Both Lefebvre and Comeau expressed gratitude for the opportunity to make a difference through their music and charitable initiatives, emphasizing the importance of connecting with fans and those in need.
