Vancouver Police Arrest Suspect in Knife Attack at Yaletown Nightclub
Early Monday morning, a dramatic incident unfolded at a Yaletown nightclub as Vancouver police apprehended a suspect accused of slashing a man with a knife.
According to the Vancouver Police Department (VPD), the altercation took place near Nelson and Hamilton streets around 3 a.m. Eyewitnesses sprang into action, providing immediate assistance to the victim before law enforcement arrived on the scene.
Fortunately, the victim, who sustained non-life-threatening injuries, was quickly transported to the hospital for treatment.
In an official statement, the VPD indicated that the incident did not appear to be random. The alleged perpetrator was taken into custody outside the club later that same day.
The individual, identified as a 31-year-old resident of Delta, is now facing a charge of aggravated assault related to the attack.
Public records reveal that the suspect is scheduled to appear in court on the same day of the arrest and again on January 26, 2026.
