“Guilty Plea Entered in Terrifying Yaletown Stabbing Spree”

Tamara Hamelin, the woman accused of stabbing multiple strangers in Vancouver’s Yaletown neighborhood last autumn, has pleaded guilty to all charges brought against her.

In a Vancouver courtroom in December, Tamara admitted guilt to four counts of assault with a weapon and two counts of assault, as confirmed by the BC Prosecution Service.

The incident occurred on the morning of October 10, 2025, when multiple reports of people being stabbed near Yaletown’s David Lam Park prompted a swift response from the Vancouver Police Department.

Upon arrival, emergency services found three individuals with minor stab wounds. Thankfully, the injuries were not life-threatening, and the victims were promptly taken to the hospital for treatment.

Further investigations revealed a total of four additional assault victims, including one individual who had been stabbed during the altercation.

Following her arrest on October 14, Tamara initially faced one assault charge, which was later escalated to one additional assault charge and four charges of assault with a weapon.

The 35-year-old offender is currently in custody and is set to appear in court again in March.
