Rosalyn Bird, the latest to step away, announced her decision to represent Prince George – Valemount as an Independent. In a statement, she emphasized her commitment to reject hatred and discrimination, highlighting her stance against divisive politics.
Her exit follows the recent departures of Ian Paton and Peter Milobar, who also chose to leave the party. Findlay had hinted at the possibility of more members leaving during a recent news conference.
In response to the ongoing political tensions, Bird expressed that the people of British Columbia are weary of the conflicts and divisions in politics, emphasizing the importance of respectful disagreement and collaborative work among legislators.
