Newly elected members of the Parti Québécois (PQ) in the National Assembly received a valuable training session on Thursday, guided by former Premier Pauline Marois and former Chief of Staff Jean Royer, who worked with former Premier Jacques Parizeau.
Party leader Paul St-Pierre Plamondon organized this insightful training, likening it to a “mini-MBA” for the 60 MNAs elected on Oct. 5, many of whom are entering politics for the first time.
During the session, Marois focused on familiarizing the new members with the workings of the legislature and the Quebec state, emphasizing the significance of respecting all stakeholders, including Opposition parties. She highlighted the need for cooperation with these parties to advance the government’s legislative goals.
Emphasizing the value of mutual respect in fostering knowledge sharing, Marois encouraged a mindset of learning from others, stating that respectful interactions can lead to more open and spontaneous exchanges of ideas.
