Hundreds of people gathered in Montreal to show their support for the Iranian people amid ongoing protests against the Islamic Republic. The protesters, led by voices calling for regime change, marched through the city demanding justice and freedom for those in Iran.
The rally, known as the “Global Rally in Support of Iran’s National Revolution,” began at Atwater subway station and made its way to the U.S. Consulate. Participants echoed the sentiment of Iranians fighting for change and expressed gratitude for international support, particularly from the U.S. government.
U.S. President Donald Trump has openly backed the Iranian people in their struggle, vowing to assist if the regime turns violent against protesters. His statements have resonated with the crowd, with one protester even displaying a flag that read “Trump – Make Iran great again.”
Support from other world leaders has also poured in, with foreign ministers from Australia, Canada, and the European Union condemning the violence and expressing solidarity with the Iranian people. Despite the Iranian government’s efforts to suppress the demonstrations, the protesters remain steadfast in their fight for freedom.
As the protests in Iran enter their second week, reports indicate a rising death toll and a growing number of arrests. The regime’s threats of crackdown and severe punishments have not deterred the protesters, who continue to push for change and seek international support in their quest for justice.
