Royal Residence Under Fire: King’s Home Targeted in Shocking Double Shooting, YRP Investigates

A residence in King Township faced two shooting incidents within a span of three days, as confirmed by the York Regional Police (YRP) in an official statement released on Tuesday. The authorities urged potential witnesses to step forward to aid in the investigation.

According to investigators, the initial shooting occurred on a Sunday evening around 7:50 p.m. in the vicinity of Dufferin Street and King Road. A suspect was observed discharging a firearm at the house before fleeing in a dark-colored sedan.

Subsequently, on the following Tuesday, the same property was once again the target of a shooting incident. Law enforcement received a distress call at approximately 5:20 a.m. reporting gunfire, with a gunman firing multiple shots at the residence before departing in a dark-colored sedan.

While the home was occupied during both events, fortunately, no injuries were reported, as confirmed by the YRP. The authorities are now actively seeking any additional surveillance footage from the area or footage from potential eyewitnesses with dashcams that may have recorded activity around the time of either shooting.
