Intense Cold Weather Causes Flight Disruptions Across Canada and the US
As frigid temperatures grip the country, Canada’s major airports are facing flight delays and cancellations due to the extreme cold. Air Canada and WestJet have issued advisories for various airports, including Toronto, Montreal, Halifax, Moncton, and Quebec City, as well as cities like Atlanta, Houston, and New York.
From the eastern province of New Brunswick to western Alberta, residents are bracing for bone-chilling cold, with parts of the Prairies expecting temperatures as low as -55°C with wind chill. Ontario is also preparing for a deep freeze, with wind chill temperatures in Toronto and Ottawa forecasted to plummet to -30°C to -40°C.
Meanwhile, a severe winter storm in the United States has led to widespread flight disruptions, with thousands of flights canceled, including those bound for Canada.
