Seven Toronto Men Arrested in Connection with Fatal Home Invasion in Mississauga
Peel Regional Police have apprehended seven men from Toronto in relation to a deadly home invasion in Mississauga last fall. The incident took place in October 2024, when a 55-year-old man lost his life during a violent break-in at a residence near Central Parkway West and Confederation Parkway.
The tragic event unfolded in the early hours of the morning, as four masked intruders entered the home, demanding money and valuables. During the confrontation, Ruo Zhou Wei, one of the occupants, was shot and later succumbed to his injuries after being rushed to the hospital.
Following an extensive investigation that involved forensic analysis and multiple legal procedures, police identified the individuals involved in the crime, leading to the arrest of the suspects. The coordinated efforts resulted in the seizure of a firearm and the detention of the seven men, who are currently awaiting bail hearings.
Among the arrested individuals, three have been charged with second-degree murder and attempted murder using a firearm, while three others face manslaughter charges. Additionally, one man is accused of various firearm-related offenses.
