On a Sunday evening, Vancouver police made a notable arrest when they found a loaded handgun in a vehicle occupied by three teenagers.
Deputy Chief Alison Laurin of the Vancouver Police Department shared in a social media update that officers were conducting patrols in the Gastown area when they intercepted a 17-year-old driver accompanied by two teenage passengers.
Upon searching the vehicle, law enforcement discovered a 9 mm handgun concealed under the driver’s seat, alongside cannabis and prescription medication.
The three individuals, all teenagers, were taken into custody but later released under the care of their parents.
