“Breaking: Frank Stronach Case Takes New Turn as Toronto Sexual Assault Trial Faces Unexpected Delay”

Updates are anticipated today in the ongoing sexual assault trial involving Canadian entrepreneur Frank Stronach in Toronto. The trial, originally set to commence earlier this week, has encountered delays as Stronach’s legal team requested additional time for preparation due to a substantial influx of new materials, including various videotaped statements.

The defence team has also indicated that they will be seeking further disclosure through an application, with potential additional motions to be addressed before the trial officially begins. Stronach’s lawyers are expected to provide an update on their progress during the court session today.

Frank Stronach, a 93-year-old business magnate and the founder of the renowned auto parts manufacturer Magna International, is facing 12 charges concerning seven complainants, stemming from alleged incidents spanning from the 1970s to the 1990s. Despite the accusations, Stronach has consistently denied all allegations against him.

Initially charged with 18 offences involving 13 complainants in 2024, the case was later divided into two separate trials, with the remaining allegations scheduled for a trial later this year in Newmarket, Ont.
