Emergency responders are currently at the site of a vehicle partially submerged in Lake Ontario close to Ashbridges Bay.
The incident unfolded when Toronto Fire Department received a distress call around 2 p.m. regarding a water-related emergency near the water treatment plant on 9 Leslie Street. Upon arrival, they discovered a vehicle partially submerged in the lake.
Officials from the fire department disclosed that one individual was found within the vehicle and was transferred to paramedics for additional medical attention.
Paramedics have confirmed their presence at the scene but have not reported any hospital transports as of now.
The Toronto Police Department was summoned to the location due to “unknown trouble,” with no further elaboration provided at this time.
The duration that the vehicle has been underwater remains unknown.
