Transit Police Launch Investigation into Sexual Assault Incident in North Surrey

Metro Vancouver Transit Police (MVTP) is asking for the public’s assistance in an investigation involving a recent sexual assault outside a SkyTrain station.

The incident occurred on Jan. 21, when a woman was assaulted by a man who approached her from behind as she walked from Scott Road SkyTrain station to her vehicle. The assault took place a little after 4 p.m. in the far corner of the parking lot, near 110 Avenue and 126A Street.

Despite the attack, the woman bravely fought back, causing the suspect to flee in the direction of the station.

The suspect is described as a man in his mid-to-late twenties, tall, with a medium build, light-colored eyes, and a partial brown beard. During the assault, he was wearing a blue zip-up hoodie with the hood up, dark blue jeans, and a black beanie.
