British Police Arrest Prince Andrew Over Allegations of Public Misconduct
British authorities have taken Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor into custody for suspected misconduct in public office. The investigation stems from reports linking the former Prince Andrew to sending trade documents to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein in 2010. These reports surfaced following the disclosure of extensive documents tied to a U.S. inquiry into Epstein, where Mountbatten-Windsor’s name features prominently.
While Thames Valley Police did not explicitly name Mountbatten-Windsor, they did confirm the arrest of a man in his 60s, matching the prince’s age of 66. The police force stated that they are commencing an investigation into the alleged misconduct and assured the public of updates as the case progresses.
Despite persistent denials of any misconduct in his interactions with Epstein, Mountbatten-Windsor has faced repercussions within the royal family. Last year, King Charles III revoked Andrew’s royal titles in an effort to distance the monarchy from the ongoing scrutiny surrounding his ties to Epstein, a scandal that has cast a shadow over the royal household for years.
Reports and images have emerged online, showing unmarked police vehicles outside Mountbatten-Windsor’s residence, Wood Farm, located on the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk. The investigation continues to draw widespread attention and speculation.
