A wildfire is burning just north of Squamish on Sunday afternoon.
The Squamish Fire Rescue (SFR) says that crews are currently on scene near Midnight Way and Paradise Valley Road, battling the flames.
Firefighters warn the public to stay out of the area.
“Please do not stop to watch, gather near the scene, or attempt to access surrounding roads or trails,” the SFR said in a written statement.
“Keeping the area clear is critical to allow firefighters and emergency crews to safely and effectively respond.”
No information has been shared on how large the fire is or whether it was human-caused.
