Metro Vancouver outside workers say rotating pickets struck two wastewater treatment facilities yesterday in the union’s dispute with the regional district.
The union says pickets were set up at the Northwest Langley Wastewater Treatment Plant and the Lulu Island Wastewater Treatment Plant in Richmond, after the job action struck the popular Grouse Grind trail earlier this week.

The last agreement expired 17 months ago, and the union says no talks are scheduled, but the regional district says several dates had been offered to workers, as well as possible mediation without success.
The more than 700 outside workers operate in areas including water, sewer, and infrastructure services.
